Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Rioja Alta, south of the Ebro between Haro and Logroño, Bodegas Altanza was established in 1998. In the charming town of Fuenmayor, exceptional wines are crafted in Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva categories. Their distinctive character comes from the seamless blend of traditional expertise and modern creativity.
This Tempranillo features a deep garnet hue with purplish highlights. Delicate hints of cherry and vanilla introduce the palate, followed by ripe blackberries. The finish reveals subtle aromas of blueberries, complemented by refined woody tones. It concludes with a smooth, lingering aftertaste.
The grapes from Tempranillo vines are first fermented in stainless steel tanks. The Crianzas then age for 12 months in oak barrels before being bottled and undergoing their final refinement in the wine cellar.
Rioja is one of Spain’s most fertile wine regions, where vines thrive under excellent conditions. The area captivates with its diverse soil composition: sandy terrains, limestone-rich grounds, gravelly alluvial land, and iron-rich clay lend the landscape its unique charm.
