In 1929, a group of winemakers from Morges and the surrounding area united to establish a cooperative winery. Over the years, the community steadily expanded as more winegrowers, villages, and estates joined. Today, Cave de la Côte includes 1,800 vineyard plots of various sizes. The region spans 450 hectares from Lausanne to Satigny, covering a quarter of La Côte’s vineyard area.
Delicate aromas of red berries are complemented by floral and spicy nuances, adding depth and complexity to the wine. On the palate, it is delicious, fruity, intense, and lingers beautifully.
Maturation in INOX stainless steel tanks
The wine region is situated on the moraine of the Rhône glacier, where fine silt and clay merge with layers of molasse, limestone, gravel, and sand. Closer to the lake, gravelly soils dominate.
