This fruity Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with dishes such as pasta, grilled meats, game, lamb, or hearty roasts. Highly recommended: Try it with herb-crusted rack of lamb.
Around 1300, a descendant of Knight Heinrich von Heidegg began planting vines on the steep, sunlit slopes surrounding the castle. Over the centuries, Heidegg experienced periods of glory as well as challenges. Nevertheless, the castle first became the Seetal Wine Castle and later one of the most renowned wine locations in the canton of Lucerne.
Today, the management of the Heidegg Winery continues the tradition of Josef Zemp. The esteemed and skilled vineyard master of the State Winery significantly shaped viticulture at the castle hill, turning it into a model estate for the entire Lucerne region.
This Pinot Noir impresses with its intense berry aroma. On the palate, it reveals a smooth entry, velvety tannins, and an elegant, long-lasting finish.
This wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
Below Schloss Heidegg lie the sunlit slopes where the Pinot Noir grapes for this wine are grown.
