Wine history
chevron-down

The Cantina Sociale di Monteforte d'Alpone was founded in March 1952 by a dedicated group of winemakers who joined forces to preserve a unique wine-growing region. The winery is located in the eastern part of Verona, right on the border with the province of Vicenza – an area renowned for its exceptional winemaking traditions.

Tasting note
chevron-down

Dark ruby red colour. A hint of red and blackcurrants on the nose. Rich and full-bodied, with a lingering finish.

Vinification
chevron-down

The grapes are dried in fruit storage rooms, crushed towards the end of January and fermented in steel tanks. After bottling, the wine is matured partly in oak barrels and partly in barriques. The wine then matures for a further six months in the bottle.
