With over 21,000 hectares of vineyards, the Alentejo region is one of Portugal’s largest wine-producing areas, offering excellent conditions for grape cultivation. The vines are primarily planted on gently sloping soils. Cooling Atlantic breezes moderate the climate, making winters less cold and summers less intense.
A ruby-violet color with an intense aroma of warm red fruits. Subtle hints of toasted bread and spices add depth to the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a velvety finish.
The grapes are carefully handpicked. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks for approximately 15 days. Half of the wine is aged for nine months in French oak barrels, used in their second and third year.
The soils are predominantly composed of rocky substrates such as granite and slate. Due to its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, the climate in Alentejo remains frost-free.
