Excellent with aromatic, delicate dishes that reflect structure and freshness without being heavy. Particularly suitable: saddle of venison with juniper jus, celery cream and cranberries, or braised veal cheeks with polenta and porcini mushrooms. A mature Gruyère AOP from the Alps also brings out the silky, spicy character beautifully.
Its roots go back to Scotsman John Lewis Brown, whose signature can still be seen today in the striking Tudor castle. From these Scottish origins grew a 3ème Cru classé that combines tradition and modernity: carefully tended vines in Margaux, uncompromising grape selection and cellar work that prioritises elegance over volume.
Aromas of cassis, black cherry and violet, accompanied by cedar wood and a hint of graphite. Silky and firm on the palate, with fine-grained tannins, cool freshness and a long, clear finish with lingering notes of dark berries, a hint of pepper spice and fine minerality.
Parcel-by-parcel harvesting and vinification to precisely highlight the terroirs; followed by ageing in French barriques with a noticeable but finely integrated wood influence.
