Great with rack of lamb with herb crust or duck breast with cherry jus. Also harmonious: porcini mushroom risotto or a mature Gruyère AOP.
Château La Fleur has been part of Dassault Wine Estates since 2002. Located on the northern flank of Saint-Émilion, the estate has been purposefully expanded and modernised in recent years. The approach: combining tradition with precise vineyard work to showcase the clarity and finesse of the terroir in contemporary elegance.
Fine, dark fruit and a hint of violet, followed by subtle spice and a touch of graphite. Smooth on the palate, with a ripe, fine-grained tannin structure, fresh acidity and a straightforward, long finish – more grace than volume, carried by chalky coolness.
Hand-picked and fermented parcel by parcel in temperature-controlled concrete and partly wooden cuvées. Aged for around 14–16 months in barriques, supplemented by portions in amphorae and concrete to preserve freshness and precision.
Plots on the northern edge of Saint-Émilion with clay-limestone and loam over limestone, south to south-west exposure. The cool, limestone-rich terroir gives the wine tension, freshness and a clear, mineral signature.
