A versatile partner for flavours with depth and spice: braised lamb shank with oriental spices or beef tartare with truffle oil and sesame. It also shows its elegant power with baked aubergine with tahini or pasta with mushroom ragout.
Château Tour Saint Christophe was taken over by Peter Kwok (Vignobles K) in 2012 and restored with great care. The historic 18th-century limestone terraces were rebuilt stone by stone. Today, the estate stands for precision craftsmanship, natural viticulture and a modern interpretation of the Saint-Émilion style – full of character, refined and impressively balanced.
On the nose, ripe blackberries, dark cherries and delicate floral notes, underpinned by graphite, tobacco and wet stone. Concentrated yet elegant on the palate, with polished tannins and fresh, chalky energy. The finish is long, juicy and mineral – sensual without being loud.
Hand-picked and strictly selected. Fermented in concrete tanks by plot, partly vinified in wood. Aged for around 18 months, approximately 30-40% in new French barriques, the rest in second-use and large barrels – for structure and freshness.
