The Coma d’en Romeu DOQ Priorat "Barrique" is a perfect companion to all kinds of meat dishes as well as cheese.
Celler Ardèvol, founded in 1995 by Josep Ardèvol, is a small family-run winery located in Porrera, at the heart of the Priorat. On just 10 hectares, it cultivates Garnacha, Cariñena, Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery is committed to sustainability, employing organic methods and minimizing the use of pesticides and fertilizers to preserve the natural balance.
The Coma d’en Romeu DOQ Priorat "Barrique" reveals a deep, powerful cherry red color and captivates with elegant notes of fine oak. On the palate, it impresses with its robust structure, pronounced ripe berry fruit, and fleshy texture. The ripe, powerful tannins complete the tasting experience, adding depth and character to this remarkable wine.
The grapes mature for 16 months in oak barriques before being bottled.
The steep vineyards are characterized by nutrient-poor yet exceptionally healthy soils, making them perfect for producing premium wines. These wines are crafted with intense concentration, rich extract, and a full-bodied profile, impressing with remarkable depth, dense structure, warm, opulent fruit, and distinctive mineral notes.
