An excellent companion to antipasti, light appetizers, and seafood; also perfect as an aperitif.

Wine history
chevron-down

In the 1980s, Guido Brivio launched his own line of wines and partnered with the renowned Gialdi winery, which has traditionally worked with grapes from vintners in the Sottoceneri region. Brivio wines focus primarily on products from southern Ticino. In 2001, Brivio Vini SA was acquired by Gialdi Vini SA, expanding the range to include wines from northern Ticino.

Tasting note
chevron-down

Pale yellow color. A balanced and complex bouquet with fruity hints and floral aromas. On the palate, it is smooth, fruity, and elegant. A harmonious wine with a pleasant, supple fullness and a long, mineral finish.

Vinification
chevron-down

During the destemming of the red Merlot grapes, the clear must is obtained through the natural draining of the juice, followed by a very gentle pressing. The clear must is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 18–20 °C. To fully preserve the grape variety's typical character, the malolactic fermentation is deliberately foregone.
