The red diva

Cornalin Les Pyramides

AOC Valais
One of the most renowned and typical Valais red wine specialties. Cornalin is just as demanding and challenging in the vineyard as the white diva, Petite Arvine. But as with any diva, in the end, only the performance matters: simply brilliant.

An ideal companion to dishes with red meat or exotic cuisine, such as an Asian stir-fry with tender chicken and crunchy vegetables.

Wine history
chevron-down

The crossbreeding of two grape varieties was first mentioned in Valais at the beginning of the 14th century. Due to its challenging and demanding cultivation, Cornalin nearly fell into oblivion but has experienced a resurgence in recent decades, becoming one of the most renowned and typical red wine specialties of Valais.

Equally famous is the Weisshorn, standing at 4,505 m with its three sharp ridges forming a perfect pyramid. The label features the majestic main peak, unmatched in its beauty.

Tasting note
chevron-down

The Cornalin Les Pyramides reveals itself in a deep red color. On the nose, it impresses with notes of ripe cherries and a hint of cloves. Fresh and fruity on the palate, it delights with its long finish.

Vinification
chevron-down

The initial fermentation is temperature-controlled to enhance the fruit aromas. Aging in stainless steel tanks aims to create a fruity and varietal wine. This method preserves its freshness, making it ready to drink immediately.
