Ideal with braised beef, roast lamb or game ragout. Equally delicious with Mediterranean classics such as ratatouille, stuffed peppers or lasagne. A mature Comté or a strong goat's cheese round off the combination perfectly.
Since 1946, Ferraton Père & Fils has been an integral part of the northern Rhône Valley. Jean Orëns Ferraton in Tain-l'Hermitage began the story of a house that combines tradition with a contemporary spirit. Today, biodynamic wines are produced here that reflect the character of the renowned Rhône vineyards. Each vintage proves anew that respect for nature and origin gives rise to genuine inspiration – a heritage that is unmistakably evident in the glass.
The Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu has a deep ruby red colour. The nose reveals dark berries, delicate herbal aromas and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied, with smooth tannins and a long, harmonious structure.
The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
The Syrah and Grenache vines thrive on a vast alluvial terrace of the Riss, 80 to 150 metres above the Aygues and Ouvèze rivers. The terroir of limestone gravel and round pebbles characterises the power and structure of the wine.
