During her active years, Rosmarie Mathier, Diego's mother, was present at all Swiss wine fairs and in the Stübli in Salgesch. She is regarded as an outstanding ambassador for Valais and Swiss wines.
Thanks to her popularity and continuous pursuit of excellence, her white Valais blend, crowned Swiss champion twice, is literally on everyone’s lips. This blend, masterfully composed of five different grape varieties, is a versatile choice—perfect for both gastronomy and wine lovers at home.
The Petite Arvine adds a pleasant freshness and rich aromas to the Cuvée Madame Rosmarie Mathier White. The Pinot Blanc contributes a touch of exotic fruits, while the Pinot Gris gives this excellent wine its fullness.
The grapes are destemmed, and each variety is vinified separately. The white blend is assembled according to Rosmarie Mathier's original recipe. Although Rosmarie is no longer in charge, she retains a lifelong veto right regarding her Cuvée Madame Rosmarie Mathier.
The blend is created from different grape varieties grown in various locations. The terroir is carefully matched to each grape variety to create a unique tasting experience in the glass.
Composed of Petite Arvine, Pinot Blanc, Johannisberg, and Pinot Gris, the proportions of each grape variety change from year to year. However, Petite Arvine remains the base wine.
