A sincere wine, ideal for everyday enjoyment, very versatile in gastronomic combinations with structured starters and first courses as well as red meat dishes, game and spicy pasta dishes, but can also be enjoyed slightly chilled as an aperitif in summer.
In the year 2000, Khanh Nguyen and Franco Batzella established the Batzella winery in the renowned Bolgheri region, located on the central coast of Tuscany. Surrounded by gentle hills and the Tyrrhenian Sea, this area provides ideal conditions for cultivating Cabernet grapes, which have made Bolgheri famous worldwide. The wines produced here stand out for their refined structure and remarkable maturity.
Bright ruby red in the glass; red fruit with spicy notes; mint. The bouquet is fresh, full-bodied, fragrant tannins with good finesse.
Fermentation takes place 100% in stainless steel tanks over 12 to 18 days, followed by malolactic fermentation, 30% of which occurs in barrels. The wine then ages 30% in one- to two-year-old barrels and 70% in stainless steel tanks for 6 to 7 months. Before release, it spends an additional 6 months in the bottle.
The Bolgheri area lies between rolling hills and the Tyrrhenian Sea. The soils of the vineyards are predominantly a clay-sandy composition.
