In 1929, a group of winegrowers from Morges and its surrounding area joined forces to establish a cooperative winery. Over time, the community expanded, welcoming additional winegrowers, villages, and vineyards into the fold. Today, Cave de la Côte encompasses 1,800 vineyard plots of varying sizes. Its territory spans 450 hectares from Lausanne to Satigny, representing a quarter of La Côte’s wine-growing region.
A wine from the La Côte region with a touch of exotic charm. Its aromas are intense, blending floral hints of rose with fruity notes of lychee and raisin. On the palate, it is smooth and fruity, complemented by a hint of nutmeg and a well-balanced finish.
The wine is matured in steel tanks.
The wine region lies on the moraine of the Rhône glacier, where fine silt and clay mix and overlay with deposits of molasse, limestone, gravel, and sand. Near the lake, gravelly soils are predominant.
