A versatile rosé for aperitifs, fish, white meat and Asian-spiced dishes. Particularly lovely with grilled prawns with lime, chicken satay with peanut sauce or a summery salad with strawberries and fresh goat’s cheese.
Oskar Mathier-Oggier AG is listed as the producer on the wine label, in honour of Diego Mathier’s grandfather, Oskar Mathier-Oggier.
Some families pass on knowledge. The Mathiers pass on a passion for wine. For generations, wines have been produced in Valais that bring their origins authentically to the glass. Today, Diego Mathier carries on this legacy with the same enthusiasm – combining living tradition with the commitment to get the very best out of every grape.
Brilliant salmon pink with delicate orange highlights. On the nose, pear, strawberry and raspberry combine with a hint of honey. On the palate, soft and juicy on the attack, then lively and well-balanced, with delicate minerality, clear fruit and a pleasantly fresh finish.
After fermentation, the Pinot Noir grapes remain on the skins for two to three days and are then gently pressed. Further ageing takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit, freshness and characteristic rosé colour.
The grapes come from selected vineyards in the Valais region around Salgesch, Sierre and Varen. The dry Alpine climate, intense sunshine and mineral-rich soils promote ripe fruit whilst also ensuring lively freshness.
