The Batzella winery was founded in 2000 by Khanh Nguyen and Franco Batzella in the heart of the renowned Bolgheri region on Tuscany’s central coast. Nestled between rolling hills and the Tyrrhenian Sea, this area offers perfect conditions for Cabernet varieties, now synonymous with Bolgheri. The result is wines that captivate with their elegant structure and exceptional ripeness.
A deep ruby red. The nose reveals aromas of ripe red fruits, spices, and cocoa, enriched by an elegant woody note. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fresh, and lush, with a balanced structure, refined tannins, and a long-lasting finish.
Fermentation takes place entirely in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for 12 months in French oak barriques, followed by another 12 months in the bottle.
The Bolgheri region is surrounded by rolling hills and borders the Tyrrhenian Sea. The soils of the vineyards are predominantly clayey-sandy.
