Culinary recommendation
chevron-down

An excellent wine to fish, shellfish and delicate starters. It pairs particularly well with pan-fried scallops, a pike-perch fillet in lemon butter or goat’s cheese with herbs.

Wine history
chevron-down

Since 1971, Cave St-Pierre, situated in the heart of the Chamoser wine-growing region, has consistently pursued a quality-focused approach. This is underpinned by its long-standing collaboration with regional winegrowers and a broad range of indigenous grape varieties. The Réserve des Administrateurs is one of the estate’s most traditional flagship wines and clearly showcases the distinctive characteristics of the Valais terroir.

Tasting note
chevron-down

Pale golden yellow with greenish highlights. The bouquet combines citrus fruits and ripe mirabelle plums with exotic nuances, white flowers and a hint of rhubarb. On the palate, the wine is compact and supple, underpinned by ripe acidity and a pronounced mineral freshness. The long finish concludes with the salty note typical of Petite Arvine.

Vinification
chevron-down

The wine is vinified traditionally in stainless steel tanks.

Vineyards
chevron-down

The grapes come from the Chamoser vineyard, whose soils are characterised by limestone and layers of clay and slate. The dry Valais climate and the sun-drenched slopes foster the ripe aromas, the striking freshness and the characteristic salty finish.
