Culinary recommendation
chevron-down

This Pinot Gris pairs excellently with asparagus dishes, white meat and creamy vegetable dishes. It harmonises particularly well with veal stir-fry, asparagus risotto or a potato gratin with mountain cheese.

Wine history
chevron-down

Liesch Weine is a family-run business at the Treib vineyard in Malans. The vineyards are situated on a flat scree slope surrounding the estate and are cultivated in a natural manner in accordance with Bio-Suisse guidelines. Since 1984, the family has been pressing their wines on their own estate, combining traditional Graubünden winegrowing culture with sustainable practices and a great deal of manual labour.

Tasting note
chevron-down

On the nose, there are delicate aromas of pear, honey and white flowers. On the palate, the Pinot Gris is full-bodied and smooth, yet fresh and balanced, with ripe fruit, subtle spice and a harmonious, lingering finish.

Vinification
chevron-down

The wine is aged in steel tanks to clearly highlight its freshness and fruitiness. This preserves the floral notes and the typical Malans precision.

Vineyards
chevron-down

The grapes grow in Malans on well-drained soils composed of clay, silt, sand and Grisons slate. The warm Föhn wind and the good drainage of the scree slopes promote ripeness, freshness and mineral tension.
