The Pinot Noir Grand Cru from Gilly pairs perfectly with delicate meat dishes such as veal fillet, poultry or elegantly seasoned roast beef. Thanks to its fine structure and aromatic finesse, it also goes well with mushroom dishes, medium-strength cheese or an aromatic vegetable pie.
Château de Vincy is one of the most historic estates in the Vaud region. It was named after Romain Vincius, the first owner of the property. Today, the château is owned by Maria Elena Pia Fernandez-Lopez de Ochoa and her husband, Lord Norman Foster, a globally renowned architect. The vineyards cover an area of 9 hectares.
The color is a deep garnet red. The bouquet reveals fruity notes accompanied by floral hints. On the palate, the wine is intense and vibrant, with a balanced structure and silky tannins.
This wine is matured partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in small oak barrels.
The grapes for the Pinot Noir Grand Cru Château de Vincy thrive on the sun-drenched slopes of the Côteau de Vincy around Gilly, which extend to an altitude of around 600 metres. The chalky, loamy terroir of these vineyards, characterised by their proximity to Lake Geneva and the protection of the Jura mountains, offers ideal conditions for an elegant and finely structured Pinot Noir.
