A versatile accompaniment to poultry, veal and pork dishes, as well as Mediterranean pasta creations and pizza. It pairs particularly well with veal in a creamy sauce or homemade porcini mushroom ravioli.
Oskar Mathier-Oggier AG is listed as the producer on the wine label, in honour of Diego Mathier’s grandfather, Oskar Mathier-Oggier.
Some families pass on knowledge. The Mathiers pass on a passion for wine. For generations, wines have been produced in Valais that authentically reflect their origins in the glass. Today, Diego Mathier carries on this legacy with the same enthusiasm – combining living tradition with a commitment to getting the very best out of every grape.
A deep ruby red with a bouquet of ripe cherries, raspberries and delicate wild berries. Subtle spicy notes complement the fruity aromas. On the palate, it is harmonious, soft and round with velvety tannins, a pleasant freshness and a balanced, fruit-driven finish.
The grapes are gently processed and matured in the traditional manner in stainless-steel tanks to preserve the Pinot Noir’s characteristic fruit and freshness. The ageing process focuses on elegance, drinking pleasure and clear fruit aromas.
The grapes come from the sun-drenched vineyards of Valais. Soils rich in limestone and magnesium, combined with the dry climate, give the Pinot Noir its elegant structure, delicate minerality and fruity character.
