This single-variety Pinot Noir La Folie is made exclusively from Walliser Petit Pinot grapes, grown on vines over 100 years old in the best locations of Valais. The result is a simply fabulous wine, paying tribute to the unicorn on its label. With its purity, magical power, and boundless love for freedom, the mythical creature symbolizes goodness and nobility—just like this strictly limited red wine, which matures to fabulous perfection for 24 months in French oak at the Cave de l’Hospice de Salquenen, promising magical moments of enjoyment in the glass.
Intense and deep ruby-red color. The bouquet entices the senses with hints of strawberry and cherry aromas. Barrel aging gives the fine wine an additional spicy note.
On the palate, it develops juicy and fresh. It offers a beautiful balance between a nice structure and the finesse of silky tannins. Long and harmonious, already very pleasant to drink, it has interesting aging potential.
Matured for 24 months in oak barrels.
Grown in the finest Valais vineyards, with limestone- and magnesium-rich soils that are ideal for Pinot Noir grapes.
