Pairs wonderfully with braised or roasted strong meats, fine game and aromatic cheeses. It also shows class with hearty main courses – a wine that not only accompanies but also enhances every dish considerably.
The Donatsch family has been shaping winegrowing in Malans since 1897 – first as innkeepers, soon as pioneers. Thomas Donatsch ventured into Chardonnay, Crémant and Barrique when it was still against all the rules, and wrote Swiss wine history. Today, his son Martin continues the tradition with global experience and unbridled curiosity: Pinot Noir is his passion, Chardonnay his soulmate, Completer his old love. World class from the Bündner Herrschaft – uncompromising, full of character and always looking ahead.
Sparkling ruby red in the glass. On the nose, a spicy bouquet of dark fruits that arouses curiosity. Full and noble on the palate with subtle hints of dried pear – elegant, Burgundian and with clear typicity of the terroir. Long, dense finish and enough character to tell stories even after years.
The wine is aged in barrique barrels.
The winery's oldest vineyards in the Grisons wine region.
