Domaine Les Hutins in Dardagny has been run since 2008 by Emilienne Hutin Zumbach, the fifth generation of the family. The estate played a key role in the quality revival of Geneva’s wine industry, embracing limited yields, new grape varieties and independent vinification from an early stage. Today, the grapes from 19 hectares are entirely processed and bottled on the estate.
Powerful and fruit-driven on the nose, with notes of crushed raspberries and red berries. On the palate, it is initially delicate and juicy, then becomes denser, spicier and more structured, with noticeable body and light tannins.
The wine is vinified as a rosé from red Geneva grape varieties, with a focus on fruit, structure and crisp freshness. The short maceration period brings colour, aromas and a subtle hint of tannins to the glass.
The grapes are grown in the Geneva Mandement around Dardagny, one of the canton’s most distinctive wine-growing villages. The vineyards combine good ripening conditions with fresh air circulation and are particularly suited to aromatic, structured rosé wines.
