Excellent with hearty meat dishes and aged cheeses. Particularly enjoyable with ossobuco and saffron risotto, braised beef or rack of lamb with herbs.
The Chiericati winery is now part of the Delea Group and represents classic Ticino wine culture with a modern vision. Its roots go back to the period when Merlot truly established itself in Ticino. Careful vineyard work, precise vinification and a strong sense of balance create wines that elegantly reflect the character of southern Switzerland.
Deep ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose reveals intense aromas of dark berries, cherries, vanilla and delicate toasted notes. On the palate smooth, round and harmonious, with well-integrated oak, silky tannins and a long, spicy finish.
Traditional vinification with temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for several months in barriques, developing structure, spice and delicate roasted aromas.
The grapes grow on sunny Ticino vineyards with mineral-rich soils. The mild climate south of the Alps gives the wine ripe fruit, elegant structure and balanced freshness.
