This wine pairs perfectly with red meat and grilled dishes. It also works wonderfully with fish, especially for those who prefer red wine over white. A great example: grilled trout paired with a Spiez Pinot Noir – an exceptional match.
The Spiez vineyard is among the highest-altitude winegrowing areas north of the Alps. In 1927, Hans Barben brought together a group of passionate wine enthusiasts who began cultivating Riesling-Sylvaner the following year. Shortly after, the variety was replaced with Chasselas, but the soil proved unsuitable. Consequently, Riesling-Sylvaner was replanted. This dedicated group established an association focused on expanding the vineyard. In 1942, the association was transformed into a cooperative, laying the foundation for the future of winemaking in Spiez.
Fruity and fresh, with notes of ripe strawberries and raspberries. On the palate, it is smooth, full-bodied, and offers a lingering finish. A delicate red wine that impresses with its structure, elegance, and refined fruity nuances.
This wine is matured in stainless steel tanks.
