On the shores of Lake Geneva, in the terraced vineyards of Lavaux, this wine is crafted within the protected designation of Saint-Saphorin. The Bovy family, based in Chexbres, is one of the long-established families of Vaud. Their wine cellar dates back to the 16th century, and the oldest vineyards were acquired in 1779. Henri Bovy began developing the vineyards in 1925. In 1937, Maurice Bovy introduced the sale of bottled wines. In 1960, his son Bernard took over the estate, and since 1997, Bertrand and Eric, Bernard’s sons, have been running the winery as the fourth generation.
This Saint-Saphorin stands out with its vibrant ruby color, its pure and refined nose featuring aromas of red fruits, and its elegant and distinctive flavors.
Aged for at least four months in large oak barrels.
The grapes come from the terraced vineyards of Saint-Saphorin in Lavaux, characterized by clay and limestone soils.
