A typical Ticino Merlot that pairs excellently with pasta, hearty starters, or cheese.
The Brivio brand was founded in the 1980s when Guido Brivio created his own wine line and collaborated with the already established Gialdi winery, which had been processing grapes from various growers in Sottoceneri from the start. The Brivio line focuses on producing wines from the southern part of Ticino. In 2001, Brivio Vini SA was acquired by Gialdi Vini SA, expanding the range to include wines from the northern part of Ticino.
This wine presents a garnet red color with violet reflections. On the nose, it is fruity and fresh. It reveals itself as a harmonious and intense wine with subtle spice notes and flavors of red wild berries reminiscent of strawberries and blueberries. The finish is juicy, balanced, and long-lasting.
The wine is made using traditional methods in stainless steel tanks, with maceration lasting 8 to 10 days at temperatures between 26 to 28°C. The wine is then aged for an additional 10 months in the tanks.
