In Aigle, the vines grow on slopes surrounded by cliffs and forests, separating them from the Alps. The grapes benefit from intense sunlight, resulting in dry, robust, and well-balanced wines. Eric Waldvogel and his sons vinify the harvest from their own vineyards located in the best sites of the municipalities of Aigle, Yvorne, and Ollon. In their family-run winery in Aigle, the grapes are gently processed, the wines are carefully refined, and then bottled with care.
The wine stands out for its diverse characteristics. Delicate hints of vine blossoms, flint, and almonds delight the palate and create a unique tasting experience.
The grapes are harvested by hand and traditionally processed in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The biological acid reduction is typically carried out to 100%.
The vineyard, situated on a steep slope above the village, surrounds the "Winzerhüsli," which is depicted on the label. The soil, enriched with flint fragments from a 16th-century landslide, imparts a distinctive mineral quality to the wines of Yvorne.
