Wine history
chevron-down

The family-owned vineyard of Matthias and Ilse Gsellmann spans 16 hectares and is located on the northeastern edge of Lake Neusiedl. It covers the premium vineyard sites of the villages Gols, Halbturn, and Jois. The mild Pannonian climate provides ideal conditions for grape ripening, with approximately 70 percent of the area planted with red varieties.

Tasting note
chevron-down

Deep ruby garnet with violet hues, a pleasant aroma of ripe plums and dark berry compote, rounded off by subtle hints of nougat and delicate herbal spices. On the palate, juicy sour cherry fruit shines through, powerful yet elegant, with prominent tannins and a spicy finish. Promising aging potential.

Vinification
chevron-down

The grapes are harvested by hand in September, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled mash tanks, and the wine is aged in used barriques.
