The Armero I Adrover winery is located on the outskirts of Felanitx in Mallorca, covering approximately 5 hectares. Established in 1992, winemaker Luis Armero González places great emphasis on ensuring that at least half of each blend consists of indigenous grape varieties. Today, his wines are among the finest on the island.
In the glass, it reveals a deep violet color with intense pigmentation. The nose is greeted with complex fruity notes of blackberries and plums, complemented by hints of chocolate and violets. The finish is subtly peppery. On the palate, the wine impresses with a rounded, intense flavor, a full body, medium acidity, and well-integrated tannins.
The wine undergoes an 18-day maceration period to optimally extract aromas and pigments from the grapes. Fermentation takes place at temperatures ranging from 12 to 23°C, followed by malolactic fermentation, which reduces acidity and enhances the wine's softness. The wine is then aged for 12 months, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in French oak barrels, to refine its character.
The region is distinguished by its remarkable soil diversity. Sand, limestone, gravelly alluvial soils, and iron-rich clay alternate, shaping the landscape.
