Château Chante Alouette is a wine with character and depth – rich, elegant and self-assured. It shows how exciting Saint-Émilion can be: ripe dark fruit, noble spice and that hint of limestone freshness that holds everything together. A wine that doesn't whisper, but inspires.

Culinary recommendation

Great with braised beef with rosemary jus or creamy morel pasta. A classic entrecôte Café de Paris is also a perfect match – the wine has the spice and structure to keep up.

Wine history
chevron-down

Château Chante Alouette is located amid the gentle slopes of Saint-Émilion and belongs to the Meunier family. Here, tradition meets modern precision: sustainable viticulture, hand harvesting, selective vinification and uncompromising quality standards characterise the style. The result is wines that authentically reflect the terroir – with power, structure and refinement.

Tasting note
chevron-down

Dark cherry, blackberry and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Harmonious on the palate, with smooth tannins, spicy notes of cedar wood and tobacco, and a long, fresh finish. A wine with depth, maturity and a really nice flow.

Vinification
chevron-down

Hand-picked, strict selection, temperature-controlled fermentation in concrete and stainless steel tanks. Aged for 12–16 months in French barriques, around a third of which are new, to promote depth and complexity.

The vines grow on gravelly-loamy and chalk-rich soils on the southern slopes of Saint-Émilion. This mixture ensures ripe, juicy fruit, fine spice and a fresh, mineral elegance.
