The "Tenimento dell’Ör" is a historic winery dating back to 1700, situated in the charming village of Arzo, nestled within the rolling hills of Mendrisio. Located at the foot of Monte San Giorgio, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unique fossil and archaeological discoveries, the vineyard has been fully renovated and replanted with 28 diverse grape varieties.
A play of deep purple and violet hues. The nose reveals spicy and aromatic notes reminiscent of thyme, combined with a refined and elegant complexity. The palate is spicy, long-lasting, and rich in aromas. Perfectly integrated tannins support its robust structure.
The individual grape varieties are harvested and processed separately. Aging takes place over 20 months in French barriques, half of which are new and the other half second-use barrels. The blend is created only shortly before bottling.
Situated at an altitude of 460 to 520 meters above sea level, the vineyard spans 11 hectares, 8 of which are planted with vines. Its advantageous southern exposure, enriched with abundant sunshine and refreshing breezes, provides ideal conditions for viticulture.
