The Cave de l'Hospice de Salquenen is listed as the producer on the wine label. The wine is vinified by Adrian & Diego Mathier Nouveau Salquenen AG.
‘La Folie’ stands for the highest art of winemaking – created from carefully selected plots that impressively express the respective terroir. Each bottle bears an unmistakable signature and reflects the true identity of its origin. Bottled in strictly limited quantities, it is the flagship of the winery's creation and an expression of its passion and expertise.
In the glass, the Cornalin shines in an intense garnet red with cherry red accents. Its bouquet is floral and seductive, characterised by wild berries and delicate acacia notes. On the palate, it is soft and velvety, with fruity richness and a hint of liquorice. The finely integrated tannins underline its expressive yet elegant personality.
Strict harvest restriction of 500–600 grams of grapes per square metre. The wine is aged for 30 months in new barriques.
This Cornalin grows in the best Salgesch vineyards with chalky soils – a terroir that gives it its special depth and expression.
