This Grand Stockalper vine pays tribute to the important Valais entrepreneur Kaspar Jodok von Stockalper. The Cave de l'Hospice de Salquenen produces Valais wines with a clear attitude: straightforward, full of character and firmly anchored in the terroir. Like their namesake, they embody vision, strength and an independent Valais identity.
Golden yellow with a fine sheen. Aromas of ripe pear, quince and almonds. Soft and harmonious on the palate with a fine residual sweetness, lively acidity and an elegant finish.
The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
Sunny slopes in the finest vineyards of the Valais, with calcareous soils, give the Johannisberg its structure, warmth and aromatic depth.
