Grand Stockalper pays tribute to the important Valais entrepreneur Kaspar Jodok von Stockalper. The Cave de l'Hospice de Salquenen produces wines with a clear attitude: straightforward, full of character and firmly anchored in the terroir. Like their namesake, they embody vision, strength and an independent Valais identity.
Golden yellow with a fine sheen. Aromas of ripe pear, quince and almonds. Soft and harmonious on the palate with a fine residual sweetness, lively acidity and an elegant finish.
The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
The vines grow on stony, limestone-rich soils around Salgesch. The alpine climate ensures freshness, tension and typical minerality.
