Liesch Wines is a family-run business located on the Treib estate in Malans. Johann Peter Liesch built the farm in 1936; later, the mixed farm was gradually converted to viticulture, and in 1970, the first estate wine was produced. Today, Ueli and Jürg Liesch run the winery with their families and cultivate approximately 7 hectares of vines according to Bio Suisse guidelines.
The Pinot Noir Prezius combines finesse and power. On the nose, it reveals red and dark berries, cherry, subtle spice, and delicate toasty aromas. On the palate, fresh, structured, and precise, with grippy tannins, juicy acidity, well-integrated oak, and a long, elegant finish.
The wine is aged in French oak barrels. The use of oak lends it additional depth, structure, and subtle toasty aromas without masking the Pinot Noir fruit.
The grapes grow in Malans on the vineyards surrounding the Treib winery. Permeable soils of clay, silt, sand, and Grisons slate, along with the warm Föhn wind, promote ripeness, freshness, and the precise structure of this Pinot Noir.
