The pacemaker

Pinot Noir Zizers

Graubünden AOC
It doesn't play louder than necessary, but it sets the rhythm. A Pinot from Zizers that prefers to set precise accents rather than drown everything out. Not a long-distance runner in the mainstream, but one who knows when to step forward – and then takes everyone with him at the right pace.

Culinary recommendation
chevron-down

Pairs excellently with tender veal fillet, juicy roast beef or aromatic game. A Pinot that does not shy away from strong cuisine, but rather complements it with elegance and charm.

Wine history
chevron-down

Since 1834, Nüesch Weine has been combining tradition grown in the heart of Balgach with contemporary spirit. Today, the family cultivates vines in St. Gallen, Graubünden and as far afield as Tuscany. The new timber-built headquarters with its striking curved walls combines heritage with modern design. Whether from their own vineyards or hand-picked from around the world, the 20-strong team lives and breathes quality and pours it into the glass with joy.

Tasting note
chevron-down

Dense ruby red in the glass. On the nose, a subtle interplay of ripe red and blue berries, gently spiced with a hint of liquorice. Harmoniously structured on the palate, with soft tannins, full-bodied yet elegant – a Pinot that starts quietly and finishes big.

Vinification

Aged in barrique.
