This Riesling pairs wonderfully with Asian cuisine, curries, sweet and sour dishes, and cheese. It's especially delicious with Thai curry with vegetables, sweet and sour chicken, or a mature hard cheese.
Liesch Wines is a family-run winery located within the Treib estate in Malans. Johann Peter Liesch built the farm in 1936; later, the mixed farm was gradually converted to viticulture, and the first wine was produced in 1970. Today, Ueli and Jürg Liesch run the winery with their families and cultivate approximately 7 hectares of vines according to Bio Suisse guidelines.
On the nose, fresh and invigorating, with notes of apricot, crisp apple, citrus, and subtle herbal hints. On the palate, this Riesling reveals a lively interplay of sweetness and acidity, clear fruit, a touch of residual sweetness, and a long, delicately citrusy finish.
The wine is vinified to emphasize freshness, fruitiness, and a clear balance of sweetness and acidity. It is aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve the precision and aromatic complexity typical of Riesling.
The grapes grow in Malans on the vineyards surrounding the Treib winery. Permeable soils composed of clay, silt, sand, and Bündner slate, along with the warm Föhn wind, promote ripeness, freshness, and the wine's vibrant aromatic tension.
