‘Aagne’ means ‘unique’ in the local dialect – a term that aptly describes the character of the wines from the Aagne Winery: distinctive, authentic and with a clear provenance.
In Schaffhausen's Klettgau region, sheltered by the Black Forest and nestled in the eastern foothills of the Jura Mountains, the climate is mild and dry – ideal conditions for winegrowing. The chalky soils, mixed with loam and clay, give the wines their expressiveness and structure. At the heart of it all is a passion for vines and wine – and a commitment to quality based on conviction.
Light yellow with a greenish tinge. A fruity white wine with notes of peach, melon and apricot, underpinned by a subtle minerality. Lively and fresh on the palate, with a gentle finish.
Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks without malolactic fermentation. Aged for 5–7 months on the fine lees, then filtered and bottled.
