Since 1921, the Matasci company has been based in Tenero, nestled in the picturesque landscape of the sun-kissed Locarno hills overlooking Lake Maggiore. A pioneer in natural and mindful winemaking, Matasci revolutionized the market in 1964 with the Selezione d’Ottobre. This wine, embodying the soft and delicate elegance of Merlot, continues to define the distinctive style of Matasci’s production to this day.
A vibrant ruby red with an intense bouquet combining fruity aromas and delicate spicy notes. On the palate, it is smooth with well-integrated tannins.
The individual grape varieties are vinified separately and then blended into a harmonious cuvée. Partial refinement takes place in oak barrels.
Roserosse is born from the union of two terroirs: the Locarnese, providing the Merlot, and the Mendrisiotto, contributing the Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
