Culinary recommendation
chevron-down

A versatile accompaniment to braised beef, rack of lamb or game ragout. Equally delicious with spicy pasta dishes such as tagliatelle with mushroom cream sauce. Thanks to its structure, it also impresses on its own in the glass.

Wine history
chevron-down

In the middle of the southern Kremstal valley, at the foot of the Göttweiger Berg mountain, lies the Müller Winery, whose history dates back to 1270. Family-owned since 1936, it is now run jointly by the third and fourth generations. Their motivation: the combination of tradition and innovation – and the conviction that outstanding wine always begins in the vineyard.

Tasting note
chevron-down

The Zweigelt Reserve from the Müller Winery has a bright ruby garnet colour. Ripe cherries unfold on the nose, with fine spice, body and harmoniously integrated wood on the palate. The finish is powerful, long and promises good ageing potential.

Vinification
chevron-down

It is aged for 14 months in wooden barrels.

The Zweigelt vines grow around the Göttweiger Berg in the southern Kremstal valley, on warm gravel soils with a loess layer. The Pannonian climate from the east and the mild microclimate of the Danube valley promote optimal ripeness and distinctive aromas.
