Since 1921, the Matasci company has been based in Tenero, nestled in the picturesque setting of the sunlit Locarno hills overlooking Lake Maggiore. As a pioneer in natural and sustainable winemaking, Matasci set a milestone in 1964 with the Selezione d’Ottobre. This Merlot, renowned for its refined and elegant character, continues to define the distinctive style of the winery.
A ruby-red wine with garnet highlights. The bouquet is rich and persistent. On the palate, it offers a gentle and smooth introduction. Additionally, it has excellent aging potential.
This wine is crafted in the traditional way, with an extended maceration fermentation at temperatures between 28-30°C.
