This wine is recommended as an accompaniment to hearty main courses such as braised game, beef ragout or spicy marinated lamb. Strong hard cheeses such as Comté or a dark chocolate dessert also provide a suitable counterpoint to its structure and presence.
In 1994, Roland and Karin Lenz opened a new chapter in Iselisberg (TG) as pioneers of organic winegrowing in German-speaking Switzerland. The start required a lot of patience and persuasion. Since 2006, the winery has been working exclusively organically and is now even Demeter-certified. Over 30 PIWI varieties grow on 22 hectares – a sign of diversity, innovative spirit and a genuine connection to nature. The multi-award-winning winery stands for distinctive organic wines with character.
The Voilà Bio from the Lenz Winery is deep purple in the glass. Spicy, smoky notes unfold on the nose, underpinned by plum compote and dark forest berries. The wine is powerful on the palate, with distinctive tannins – a powerful red wine that leaves a lasting impression.
The wine is aged in barriques.
