Grand Stockalper is a tribute to the great Valais entrepreneur Kaspar Jodok von Stockalper. The Cave de l'Hospice de Salquenen produces wines with attitude: straightforward, full of character and deeply rooted in the terroir. Like their namesake, they stand for vision, strength and an unmistakable Valais identity.
Light yellow with greenish reflections. Citrus, apple and a hint of white flowers on the nose. Fresh, lively and mineral on the palate with a clear structure and a precise, dry finish.
The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
The vines grow on stony, limestone-rich soils around Salgesch. The alpine climate ensures freshness, tension and typical minerality.
