The "Tenimento dell’Ör," a historic winery dating back to 1700, is located in Arzo, a picturesque village nestled in the rolling hills of Mendrisio. Situated at the foot of Monte San Giorgio, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unique fossil and archaeological treasures, the vineyard has been completely renewed and planted with 28 different grape varieties.
A ruby red of moderate intensity. Complex with a subtle touch of ivy, typical of pure Merlot, refined and fruit-driven. On the palate, it reveals delicate spiciness, a velvety texture, and fruity notes, supported by a solid structure and vibrant acidity.
Traditional Bordeaux-style winemaking with fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a maceration period of 14 days. The wine spends only a short time in the tank before bottling to preserve its freshness and fruity aromas.
The vineyard is situated at an altitude of 460 to 520 meters above sea level and covers a total area of 11 hectares, 8 of which are planted with vines. Its advantageous southern exposure, offering abundant sunlight and refreshing breezes, provides ideal conditions for viticulture.
