Perfect as an aperitif, with cheese specialties, and dishes featuring fish from local waters.
The perfect companion for any occasion. This idea inspired the Winemaker of the Decade in Switzerland to create this white blend of Chardonnay, Chasselas and Pinot Blanc. A white wine that, like an eloquent and graceful charmer, not only shines on every stage but crowns every occasion with its irresistible presence.
The artistic label on this wine bottle was designed especially for the Mathier family by artist Oskar Rütsche. The name ‘Gigolo’ takes us back to the turbulent 1920s – a time of social upheaval and marked by the aftermath of the First World War. Couple dancing flourished during those years, but the lack of male dance partners presented a challenge for dance hall operators. Their solution was to hire so-called ‘Eintänzer’ – paid gentlemen of various kinds whose job was to keep ladies who enjoyed dancing company and create a lively atmosphere on the dance floor.
In keeping with this spirit, our ‘Gigolo’ is also a mood maker. With charm and elegance, it ensures lively evenings, glass by glass. By the way: you won't find a vintage on the bottle. That's no accident – because a true gigolo never reveals his age.
Remarkably fruity and harmonious. It impresses with its freshness and beautiful balance. Full-bodied and generous on the palate, with rounded acidity and great length.
Traditional aging in stainless steel tanks. Each grape variety in this blend is aged separately.
Grown in the best vineyards of Valais, with the terroir carefully tailored to each grape variety.
