The point of view

Sélection rouge Bio

Vin de pays suisse
Not every wine has to please everyone. This one does anyway – but not because it wants to please everyone. It's because it stays true to itself: clear, direct, no frills. Those looking for authenticity will find substance here, not spectacle. And sometimes that's the best surprise in a glass.

Culinary recommendation
chevron-down

Pairs excellently with hearty main courses such as braised meat, mushroom risotto or game birds. Mature cheeses such as Gruyère or mountain cheese also harmonise perfectly – and those who wish can round off the experience in style with dark chocolate or chocolate tart. A wine for connoisseurs with substance.

Wine history
chevron-down

In 1994, Roland and Karin Lenz started a new chapter in Iselisberg (TG) as pioneers of organic winegrowing in German-speaking Switzerland. The beginning was challenging, but since 2006, the winery has been consistently organic – and today even Demeter-certified. Over 30 PIWI varieties thrive on 22 hectares – a symbol of diversity, innovative spirit and respect for nature. The multi-award-winning winery stands for characterful organic wines with a clear signature.

Tasting note
chevron-down

The wine is a deep purple red in the glass. The nose opens with a delicate hint of liquorice, accompanied by aromas of ripe wild berries. On the palate, the wine impresses with fine-grained tannins, a smooth mouthfeel and a harmonious finish that lingers elegantly. A well-balanced red wine with depth and structure.

Vinification

The wine is aged in steel tanks.
