The result is organic wines with unique character – wines that bring joy and inspire. Tradition and origin serve as the solid foundation of this craft.
For three generations, the exceptional vineyards at Wagram have been cultivated with great responsibility. The fertile loess soils of Hohenberg and Georgenberg provide ideal conditions for vines that produce wines with unmistakable personality. Sustainability and organic farming are at the forefront, guided by an unwavering pursuit of the highest quality. Everything is given the time it needs to reach its full potential. Nature is treated with care and respect – interventions are kept to the absolute minimum. Manual labor is an integral part of this process.
In the cellar, precision and sensitivity ensure that the essence of the grapes is preserved. The focus is on highlighting the character of the fruit and giving it room to fully develop. This results in wines that impress with their clear structure and authentic expression – true personalities that reflect the unique traits of soil, climate, and variety. This quality is evident in every sip.
The loess soils and partial maturation in concrete eggs and large wooden barrels lend this wine its distinctive character. Alongside an abundance of yellow fruit, it reveals subtle smoky-spicy nuances on the nose, complemented by delicate notes of herbs and pepper. A complex Grüner Veltliner with power, concentration, finesse, and elegance, leaving a long-lasting impression on the palate.
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and meticulously selected in the vineyard. Fermentation and maturation take place partly in large wooden barrels and partly in concrete eggs. The wine ages on the full lees, with a portion also maturing on the fine lees to enhance its structure and aromas.
This premier site in Hohenberg is characterized by loess soils interspersed with small portions of gravel and conglomerate.
