Excellent with pasta with strong sauces, grilled meat, game dishes or braised vegetables. Also an ideal accompaniment to medium-aged cheese.
Tenuta San Giacomo in Butera is located at an altitude of 400 metres and is characterised by chalky, white soils that reflect the light and provide ideal ripening conditions. Here, the Cusumano family cultivates mainly Nero d'Avola – the symbol of Sicily. The influence of the sea, the altitude and the strong contrasts between day and night give the grapes freshness and balance. For generations, Cusumano has been combining tradition with a modern vision.
The Disueri Nero d'Avola 2023 has a rich ruby red colour with violet reflections. The nose reveals ripe cherries, blueberries, dried herbs and a hint of liquorice. Soft, juicy and fruity on the palate, with lively freshness, gentle tannins and a Mediterranean character.
The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
The grapes come from Nero d'Avola vines at Tenuta San Giacomo in Butera. In this unique Sicilian microclimate, they reach a balanced and complete ripeness – symbolic of the region and its characterful wines.
