A versatile wine that’s ideal for relaxed moments with friends – whether paired with an afternoon cheese platter, hearty roasts, grilled steaks, veal dishes, pizza, or piccata.
The Spiez vineyard is one of the highest-altitude wine-growing areas north of the Alps. In 1927, Hans Barben gathered a group of wine enthusiasts who began planting Riesling-Sylvaner in 1928. A later experiment with the Gutedel variety failed due to unsuitable soil, leading to a return to Riesling-Sylvaner. The dedicated group formed an association to promote vineyard expansion. In 1942, this evolved into a cooperative that laid the foundation for winemaking in Spiez.
The bouquet captivates with pronounced intensity, featuring floral notes of violets, complemented by black cherries and plums, with a hint of peppery spice. This wine is full of character and freshness, beautifully balanced, offering remarkable drinkability and expressive strength.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by maturation in wooden barrels.
